4 cans stewed tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 a small bottle of A-1 steak sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
dash of salt and pepper
1 small jar sliced mushrooms
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
2 pounds ground beef
Brown the ground beef and onions. Drain the ground beef and put in in a large soup pot. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on medium for about an hour.
This spaghetti sauce is a recipe from my mother-in-law...'bout the only good thing to come from her, but that's another story for another day :)This is a really great sauce, though. And, I've always found it is better on the second day. So, don't be afraid to make it ahead of time and put it in the refrigerator until the next day.
